Fundació Escola d’Osteopatia de Barcelona(FEOB), born with the desire to train health professionals and to provide an assistance service in the field of osteopathy, has achieved to start a project addressed to children with the effort of all the foundation team.
 
Next March we are opening the Solidary Paediatric Service, located within the Clínica d’Osteoptia de Barcelona where all sort of diseases that can be treated with osteopathy are already assisted.
The Solidary Paediatric Service is part of a project that pretends to make osteopathy accessible to children, but especially to children whose families do not have enough economic resources to access to a service which is now completely private, and due to its efficiency in health, we believe that we should extend to this sector of the population.
 
For this reason the Foundation is implementing various schemes to accommodate the maximum number of people within this project, a pioneer in attendance that we have recently started in our city.
 
To access to the Solidary Paediatric Service one must comply with specific economic requirements. These will decide the cost of the visit that can be from 0 € up to € 35.(see attachment)

Another requirement is that the patient must be a child from 0 to 14 years with an underlying pathology to be treated with osteopathy. Some disorders usually treated are: the crying and irritable baby, suction problems, colic and flatulence, insomnia, repeating sinusitis and otitis, behavioural problems and learning difficulties, childhood asthma, orthopaedic problems in children, hyperactivity, cerebral palsy, etc. . This service has several paediatric specialist osteopaths with an extensive experience in this field. Osteopathic care to the smallest often offers very good results, and has established itself as a growing social demand.
 
Our challenge is to reach the maximum number of children with a 0 cost to families.
 
For this reason we will not stop and will look for any source that can provide enough resources to continue the project, therefore, we will be very grateful if you would like to collaborate with us with your efforts and donations.
 
One of the principles of the Foundation is to get osteopathy whoever needs it, thus being faithful to our principles, we are willing to see how this project becomes a real one and gains strength and stability to reach ever further.
