 From the beginning, the Fundació Escola d’Osteopatia de Barcelona (FEOB) has had as a main objective, to have a space where is possible to complete a training clinical practice of students based on real patient care. This objective is materialized in the Teaching Clinic of the FEOB.
In this service, the treatment is made by higher grades students under the supervision of the FEOB clinic tutors team. The patient is involved in student’s learning and at the same time receives a quality osteopathic treatment. The price of these visits is cheaper than a conventional private visit, encouraging that osteopathy is more accessible to everyone.
Following the example of the major educational institutions in Osteopathy, and especially those marked by the ESO, the school began in the 2003-2004 academic year the clinical practice training. With the beginning of this activity two important goals are accomplished: the direct training of students with real patients and provide an osteopathic care service for everyone being pioneer in Spain.
